About the Department The School of Public Health Office of Access, Culture & Community (OACC) is hiring a Program Assistant for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The OACC team works to support the academic, professional and interpersonal well-being of the School of Public Health community. Through education, consultation, and community building, our office aims to foster a culture of respect, support, equity, leadership, innovation, belonging and advancement. We are seeking a thoughtful and dynamic student with a commitment to contributing to an inclusive environment for all members of our community. Job Summary The Program Assistant position is designed to provide opportunities for students to explore how to support a dynamic and multifaceted community of faculty, staff, students, and fellows across the multidimensional and intersectional identities (e.g. race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, class, nationality, among others) they bring to the School community. The OACC Program Assistant will play a key role in supporting the community building work in the School of Public Health by providing event management, digital media, and administrative support for SPH OACC programs, events and services. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will be providing event, marketing, and administrative support to the School of Public Health’s OACC team. (50%) Event management & programming support: - Assist with day of event program logistics such as setting up, staffing, and cleaning up OACC in-person events such as Come Thru and Zine & Be Seen sessions
- Provide logistical support for OACC initiatives such as Come Thru & Zine & Be Seen
- Work collaboratively with SPH OACC Team staff members to assist with additional projects and programming as needed
(50%) Digital media, marketing, and administrative support - Develop digital invitations, posters, and infographics tailored to the SPH community (students, staff, faculty, and postdocs)
- Virtual administrative tasks include:
- curating content for weekly Faculty/Staff and Student newsletters (The Vector)
- web page updates
- adding events to the SPH Events calendar
- In office administrative tasks include:
- organizing and maintaining OACC team supplies
- creating kits for events
- putting up posters
