Job Description

Alessi Psychiatry and Life Center is seeking a student to assist in clinic operations. Dr. Norman Alessi is an experienced psychiatrist that works with a wide variety of patients of differing ages, backgrounds, and conditions. Dr. Alessi is also specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Alessi offers ketamine treatment and has research interests in dissociative phenomena and its relationship to depression. The clinic is located at 117 N First St, Suite 111, Ann Arbor. There is free parking available. 

Job details & duties:

  • Flexible hours, schedule is negotiable (opportunity for weekends if interested)
  • Organization of electronic and physical files and forms
  • Creation and documentation of policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparation of scientific manuscripts
  • Other duties as necessary

Educational Value
  • First-hand experience working in a medical/psychiatric setting
  • Direct working relationship with experienced psychiatrist Dr. Norman Alessi
  • Exposure to a broad area of psychiatry and diagnostics that are contemporary for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Unique experience learning about using ketamine therapeutically 
  • Become familiar with applications of Ai in clinical situations (for diagnostic and clinical purposes)
Job Requirements
  • 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Interest in psychiatry
  • Comfortable with Microsoft365
  • High organized
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to focus for long periods of time
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
Compensation $16.00/hour to $24.00/hour
