KCP Tennis Instructor Teach non-credit classes for the Department in the areas of safety, outdoor adventures, or challenge program. Instructors should possess expertise in the activity being taught and should have good communication skills. Teaching/instruction experience is preferred. Employees who teach safety certification classes must have current American Red Cross Instructor Level Certification and possess good leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities: Provide beginning and/or intermediate group lessons to adults. Classes will have up to 12 adults at a time. Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students on proper techniques, tactics and strategies to improve their overall tennis game. We are looking for an individual to teach their own class and/or be a substitute instructor for some of our other classes during the fall and winter terms. Our tennis classes are held at the U-M Varsity Tennis Center AND Chippewa Tennis Club year-round. You would need transportation to get to both of these locations. Chippewa Tennis Club is about a 15 minute drive from campus. You would be teaching 1-2 hours per week.
