Job Summary

The Office of Advancement at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business is seeking two undergraduate student assistants to provide administrative and project support during the 2026–2027 academic year. These positions may have the opportunity to continue in future academic years.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, collect, and organize alumni data and records.
  • Assist with reports, forms, websites, applications, mailings, and other data-related projects.
  • Work with tools such as DART (the University’s donor and alumni database), Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, and other systems.
  • Provide support for alumni events and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with general office and administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain digital resources as needed.
Educational Value

This position offers hands-on administrative and alumni engagement experience, along with opportunities to interact with Ross students, faculty, alumni, and friends. Student assistants may support a variety of Advancement-hosted programs and events, including board meetings, Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, Alumni Orientation, RossTalks, and more.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Canva.
  • Interest in learning data management systems and office procedures.
  • An interest in alumni engagement, advancement, or philanthropy at the University of Michigan.
  • Previous administrative or office experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience updating or maintaining apps or other digital tools is a plus.
Hourly Rate $16.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
