Job Description Career Peer Coaches serve the Stamps student community by offering career coaching and supporting students’ development and professional growth. They act as the first point of contact for students with career-related questions and function as knowledgeable resources, referring students to other services when necessary. Career Peer Coaches interact with students on diverse topics, including resume building, portfolio development, job and internship searches, interview preparation, and using university career resources. Responsibilities include: - Coach students on career-related topics during appointments or drop-in hours. This can be done in various modalities based on the established work hours of Peer Coaches.
- Support career-related programming, signature events, class visits, and pop-up events to promote upcoming career offerings.
- Assist and/or lead career-related workshops for Stamps-affiliated student organizations.
- Create graphic design, illustration, and other creative projects as assigned by the Career Development team.
- Research and collect career-related opportunities via external job boards and update internal job postings.
- Attend check-in supervisory meetings to discuss any job-related topics or competency-based learning.
Compensation: - Compensation is $18.00 per hour.
- Work-study is preferred, but not required, to apply for the position.
- Work is 10-12 hours per week, typically between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
