Job Description	The student assistant will review and process Modern Greek language books. This will include (but is not limited to) searching for existing library records (in U-M’s library catalog and other databases), verifying citation data in catalog records, and transcribing bibliographic data in a Google Form.
Educational Value	This position provides opportunities to learn about foreign language cataloging in an academic library. Furthermore, the student will develop skills navigating databases, working with foreign language materials, and communicating in a professional environment.
Job Requirements	Basic knowledge of the Greek alphabet and language (ancient or modern) Ability to transliterate or learn to transliterate Greek script into Latin script Ability to learn to search library databases and tools Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication Ability to perform physical tasks such as shifting large quantities of books Attention to detail
Hourly Rate	$17.00/hour
Hours	10.0 hours per week
