Job Description

Members of Team Decode provide stellar customer service by welcoming and engaging with guests and ensuring they have an excellent time throughout their adventure. Team members must carefully and thoroughly reset the challenges with attention to detail. Team members work together to keep games moving smoothly and to maintain the facility in excellent condition.

As team members gain experience, they learn to operate the games and direct the guest experience in character. All team members are expected to grow into the operator role and pay increases (up to $23/hour) are tied to these additional responsibilities.

Successful applicants will have a positive, outgoing attitude, a high attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Interest in escape rooms, puzzles, and/or themed entertainment is a plus. Education beyond high school is also a plus.

Members of Team Decode gain skills that are applicable throughout their education and future jobs:  clear and precise communication with teammates; engaging verbal presentation of escape room adventures as well as explanation of analytical solutions to challenges; organizational expertise related to game operation, customer management, facility maintenance, and many technical aspects of the automated Decode systems.

Job Requirements

Graduation from high school is required. Interest in analytical puzzles is important, as is being comfortable with public speaking.  Organizational ability is a must!

Successful applicants will be interested in working at least 3 shifts each week, scheduled on Thursday through Sunday evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday days.  They will also be available for at least fall and winter and spring (summer is a plus), with value added for candidates who expect to be available for more than one school year.  

Hours 10.0 to 20.0 hours per week
Compensation $16.00/hour to $23.00/hour
