The School of Music, Theatre & Dance is looking for a reliable, hard-working graduate student with a passion for SMTD to work in the SMTD Office of Admissions! This position is ideal for students interested in higher education, event coordination, or arts administration. We will provide extensive training for any student hired as an Office Assistant. There are two possible tracks for this position: Track 1 General Admin: You communicate with prospective students and families in-person and via phone and email. You are assigned to work with a specific SMTD Admissions Counselor and serve as a student expert in your counselor’s SMTD programs. You complete administrative projects for your counselor such as inputting prospective student information, assisting with group visits coordination, and digitally archiving historical hard-copy enrollment data. This job track is recommended for students generally interested in arts administration or admissions and enrollment. - Track 1 Availability Requirements: At least 3 to 6 hours of availability per week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Track 2 Auditions & Digital Content: You work with our Auditions team to plan and execute auditions, interviews, and Campus Day programming. You communicate with prospective and admitted students and their families in person and via phone and email. You complete day-of event operations such as preparing audition spaces ahead of the audition day, placing wayfinding signage and maps, managing the check-in table on audition days, and assisting with Campus Day visits. You will also serve as a student ambassador and representative of SMTD to prospective and admitted students, helping them feel welcome and informed throughout their visit. In addition to event support, you assist with improving Admissions web content and digital auditions materials. Responsibilities may include reviewing website content and layout and maintaining and editing digital content. You may also assist with administrative tasks such as assembling and organizing audition materials, swag items, documentation. - Track 2 Availability Requirements: At least 3 to 6 hours of availability per week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday availability is a plus.
