Employer LSA Dean: Facilities and Operations
Category Professional/Administrative
Job Description

The LSA Facilities and Operations Department at the University of Michigan is in search of a Student Temporary Employee to support our team.

This position will report to the Sustainability Coordinator of LSA F&O. This position supports operational, academic, and engagement-related sustainability opportunities within LSA as the college seeks to support the University-wide transition to carbon neutrality.

Job Description

LSA Facilities and Operations is seeking one organized, self-motivated individual to assist our department in supporting the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts’ sustainability objectives in a mix of analytical, communications, and engagement work.

This position will collaborate with campus partners to host sustainability events spanning topics from on-campus sustainability work to highlighting research done by LSA Faculty, in an interactive and engaging way. This position will help directly with hosting and documenting LSA involvement with the U-M Climate Week. Additionally, two ongoing LSA Sustainability programs this position would be supporting are the Lab Swap Shop, a partnership with the Office of Campus Sustainability and Innovation, and the LSA Sustainable Stock Room, a partnership with LSA Procurement. Additional engagement and educational opportunities may be assigned as needed.

This is an in-person position, reporting to the main LSA F&O Office in 1131 USB; some limited remote assignments may be available. While most hours will be worked in an office environment, Interns will occasionally be asked to support programs and events, which may include off-site hours in other LSA facilities.
