Job Summary:

We are hiring 1–3 research assistants to support an interview study on teens’ opinions about whether AI chatbots should be used for mental health support. The purpose of the study is to gather teens’ perspectives on the potential benefits and risks of seeking social or emotional support from AI chatbots, including their experiences doing so or reasons they have chosen not to.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute study information to recruit teens who are interested in being interviewed

  • Contribute to finalizing interview questions that participants will be asked

  • Help conduct interviews, prepare interview transcripts for analysis, then analyze the qualitative data

  • Assist with literature reviews and writing scholarly publications

      Job Requirements
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills

      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing or contributing to research projects

      • Interest in the implications of AI chatbot use on social and emotional wellbeing, and overall mental health

      • Experience working with teens and comfortable engaging them during recruitment and interviewing

      Hourly Rate $18.00/hour
      Hours 10.0 hours per week
