Job Description

We are looking for laboratory assistant who will perform experiments, under the guidance of senior lab members, to study the mechanisms of disease and develop therapeutic options for blood cancers. Required tasks and responsibilities depend on the specific project this person is involved in and can include routine laboratory maintenance functions, mouse colony management,assays using cell cultures, Western blots, qPCR, etc.   

Educational Value

1. The student will actively participate and learn how to develop a research question, design experiments to test a hypothesis, interpret the results and troubleshoot.

2. The student will learn basic laboratory skills and commonly used experimental procedures

3. The student has the opportunity to present projects and be author or co-author of manuscripts, therefore will learn how to present data and write papers. 

Job Requirements

We are looking for motivated students who are committed to biomedical research. Students should work closely with the direct supervisor and be responsible for the assigned tasks. 

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
Hours 10.0 to 15.0 hours per week
