Job Description

Provide general administrative support, including developing and organization of materials, supplies, correspondence, and program presentations.

Assist the Program for Multicultural Health Community Health Services team with development and coordination of various program initiatives including, but not limited to the Community Health Tent, Health Cafés, Kitchen Table Talks, Empower U-CARES, and PMCH collaborative submissions for publication in the Community Health Services monthly newsletter and academic research journals.

Facilitate and support communication with internal and external stakeholders, leverage interpersonal and communication skills to assist with designing, developing  and maintaining collaborative relationships, partnerships, and impactful community outcomes, in ways that help  ensure alignment with departmental and institutional goals.

Educational Value

Gain experience in community health services program support and community engagement within a health equity framework.

Develop strong organizational, written and communication skills, , and interpersonal skills in a professional environment, preparing student  for future roles in community-focused initiatives and health research.

Job Requirements

Current UM Work Study eligible student.

Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrate  strong verbal and written communication, skills, organizational skills, time management, and a proactive approach.

A demonstrated interest in public health practice, community engagement, research, health equity, community health education, or related fields, with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.

Familiarity with healthcare, health equity, or community engagement initiatives.

Hourly Rate $15.00/hour
