Digital Curation Graduate Student Assistant at the Bentley Historical Library Working under the general supervision of the Archivist for Digital Curation, the Student Assistant will be engaged in tasks associated with digital curation and preservation. Digital curation and preservation tasks include: employing digital forensics techniques to transfer content off of removable media, updating records in ArchivesSpace, crawling websites and conducting quality assurance on previously captured sites using Archive-It, and other duties as assigned. This work will enable the Bentley to provide access to digital archival materials. School of Information students are highly encouraged to apply, particularly those interested in digital preservation, archives, and born-digital curation This position's main work location is the Bentley Historical Library, North Campus 1150 Beal Ave. Occasional work location is the Bentley Historical Library off -site location at North Campus Research Complex Building 550, at 1600 Huron Parkway |
