The School of Public Health has available Grader II positions for Foundations of Public Health Research & Practice. This course addresses 12 Foundational Learning Objectives (FLO) that ground all graduate students in foundational public health knowledge related to the profession & science of public health, as well as factors affecting human health. This is a non-credit-bearing graduation requirement for all graduate students (MPH, MS, MHSA, MHI, PhD).

The course includes 13 short-answer assignments which will be divided up across the grading team; each grader will be responsible for scoring 4-6 assignments on a rolling basis throughout the year. The selected graders will be responsible for providing objective grading using a rubric and computing/recording assignment grades in Canvas. This will be a remote position.

• Graduate student with relevant public health background. This could include:

  • A School of Public Health master’s or doctoral student (second year or beyond) who has already passed the Foundational Learning Objectives course requirement (previously called Foundations of Public Health Practice), or;

  • A graduate student from outside of the School of Public Health (first year or beyond) who has a prior public health undergraduate or master’s degree 

• Proficiency in Canvas. 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
