Job Description

We are seeking energetic, professional, and detail-oriented Catering Event Staff to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our company, delivering exceptional dining experiences at various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties. You will handle everything from event setup and food service to final breakdown, ensuring our clients receive top-tier service from start to finish.

Job Summary
We are seeking energetic, professional, and detail-oriented Catering Event Staff to join our hospitality team. In this role, you'll be delivering exceptional dining experiences at various events.
Most events are on Campus.  Hours are based on your availability.

Core Responsibilities
  • Event Setup & Styling: Assist with loading and unloading catering vehicles. Set up dining areas, buffet lines, and service stations according to client specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and glassware.
  • Food & Beverage Service: Serve plated meals, pass hors d'oeuvres, or manage buffet stations. Monitor food temperatures and freshness, ensuring everything is presented beautifully and replenished promptly.
  • Guest Hospitality: Enthusiastically greet guests, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Clean-Up & Breakdown: Clear tables during the event (bussing), pack up leftovers safely, tear down equipment, and restore the venue to its original clean condition.
  • Safety & Sanitation: Comply strictly with local health department guidelines, food safe-handling protocols, and company safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: Previous experience in catering, fine dining, or the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate!
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to work seamlessly as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Stamina & Physical Ability: Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, and comfortably lift/carry up to 40 lbs (trays, tables, and equipment).
  • Flexibility: Open availability to work flexible hours, primarily weekends and evenings, matching our event schedules.
  • Logistics: Reliable transportation to travel to various local event venues.
  • Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s permit or ServSafe certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
Hours 10.0 to 18.0 hours per week
Compensation $18.00/hour to $20.00/hour
