The U-M Concussion Center is seeking a hard-working, motivated student to support our mission of promoting concussion awareness among a broad array of stakeholders. The student intern will assist the team in developing social media content and marketing materials that can be used to expand the Concussion Center’s reach. The student will be given the opportunity to enhance and apply their foundational knowledge of social media marketing by providing real-world experience of content generation and marketing for a U-M center. Primary Tasks: - Manage and generate social media content about concussion research and concussion-related news and strategize dissemination plans.
- Support graphic design, website update and maintenance, story writing, newsletter, and video content.
- Design marketing materials, (e.g. flyers, brochures and trifold handouts) consistent with the Center’s mission and vision.
- Work with U-M Concussion Center’s marketing and leadership teams to develop and execute dissemination plans.
- Promote and participate in the Center’s engagement and education activities.
- The ideal candidate will be able to translate a scientific finding or concept to key audiences through graphics and text.
Secondary Tasks: - Generate short and long-form video content that can be used on various platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram) as well as for community engagement and education efforts.
