Job Description	As a Shift Lead, you’ll help run the restaurant during your shift, support and motivate team members, provide great customer service, prepare quality food, and help keep operations organized and running smoothly. You’ll gain hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and business operations — skills you can take with you into any future career.
Educational Value	The Shift Lead position provides students with hands-on leadership and business experience in a fast-paced environment. Students develop valuable skills in team management, communication, problem-solving, customer service, time management, and decision-making. The role also provides experience with daily business operations, including inventory management, food safety, quality control, labor management, and meeting performance goals. These responsibilities allow students to apply leadership and organizational skills in real-world situations while building transferable experience that can support future careers in management, business, hospitality, and other professional fields.
Job Requirements	Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to provide excellent customer service Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to help lead, motivate, and support team members Able to follow food safety, cleanliness, and company standards Willingness to learn opening, closing, cash-handling, and daily restaurant procedures Reliable transportation to and from work is required; access to your own vehicle is preferred. Flexible availability! Previous restaurant or leadership experience is helpful but not required Must meet Papa Johns age and employment eligibility requirements for the Shift Lead position We are willing to train the right candidate. University of Michigan students looking to gain leadership and management experience are encouraged to apply.
Hours	15.0 to 17.5 hours per week
Compensation	$15.00/hour to $17.50/hour
