USA Swimming club, Plymouth Canton Cruisers, is seeking part-time coaches for swimmers aged 6-14 years old. Coaches will run prepared swim practices for groups of 5-18 young athletes of varying ability levels. Must be able to organize a practice, communicate instructions in a positive manner, teach stroke technique, and teach racing skills. Coaches will need to be able to communicate effectively with lead coaching staff members, work with other Cruisers coaches, interact effectively with pool managers and lifeguards, and communicate with swim parents. Practice groups can range from pre-team level to experienced competitive swimmers, depending on the daily pool schedule. 

Available coaching hours on: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu and Fri between 5pm at 830pm, Sat 9am to12, and Sundays 10am-2pm. Attending local swim meets may be an option, too. 

Coaches must have a current certification or be able to obtain a certification in Lifeguard/CPR or Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Coaches must pass a background check and take youth sports SafeSport training modules. 

Ideally, candidates will be able to work a consistent weekly schedule for a semester. For example, Tue & Thu evenings. This will allow coaches to connect with the same swimmers.
