Job Description

Social Media Assistant

 

The social media assistant will work closely with the Michigan Ross Social Media Manager and Marketing & Communications team to support and enhance our social media efforts. This person will coordinate a broad range of social media projects, including developing social media plans and content, as well as analytics reporting and graphic design.

Job Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities: 

60% - Content Creation and Social Media Coordination

  • Create posts for Michigan Ross social media channels using user-generated, editorial, and web content. 

  • Manage the content calendar, scheduling posts in line with our guidelines and goals. 

  • Create graphics for social media posts across a wide variety of platforms.

  • Cover Ross special events, including taking photos and filming participants. 

 

20% - Planning

  • Brainstorm fun new ways to creatively engage the Ross community on social media

  • Assist in developing our monthly & weekly content calendars

 

20% - Analysis

  • Help to analyze the success of social media posts and content streams in order to monitor and build community and engagement

  • Assist with the creation of monthly analytics reports

 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong writing skills, dependable, creative thinker, friendly and curious, good judgment, articulate, professional

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of how popular social media sites work and are used: X, Threads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube 

  • Some graphic design knowledge and experience: Adobe Creative Suite/Canva

  • Ability to set and manage priorities, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. 

Hourly Rate $18.00/hour
