Cancer vaccines have emerged as a rapidly growing area of cancer research. This is a bioinformatics job with the goal of systematic collection, annotation, and bioinformatics analysis of cancer vaccines through the platform of our CanVaxKB cancer vaccine knowledgebase. The student will get sufficient training to perform independent research in cancer vaccine mechanism analysis, literature mining, and bioinformatics analysis. Specific research has a focus on cancer vaccine-related genes and peptides and how they are used in cancer vaccine development. Each project will be formulated as a hypothesis-driven research project.

The student is required to have strong biology background and bioinformatics skills. An experience in literature mining and ontology is a plus.
