This position is responsible for assisting with the evening coverage of regular facility operations, and providing on-site support during internal and external events at Cliff Keen Arena and surrounding facilities in the zone.

Typical Shift: Monday to Friday evenings with weekend event coverage as needed.

• Perform quality control checks prior, during, and after events. 

• Execute proper opening and closing procedures at Cliff Keen Arena during internal and external events. 

• Provide support for University of Michigan practices, events, and rentals associated with game day procedures and event staff supervision. 

• Ensure storage and maintenance areas remain operational, organized, and safe at all times. 

• Inspect facilities and report unsafe conditions, damage, leaks, equipment issues, or other maintenance concerns. 

• Move, set up, and break down athletic equipment, furniture, tables, chairs, bleachers, barricades, and event equipment. 

• Assist with emergency cleanup, water intrusion, weather-related damage, and other facility needs. 

• Perform general landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, weed removal, planting, mulching, and cleanup. 

• Perform litter and debris removal throughout athletic facilities and grounds. 

• Assist with custodial duties during internal and external events.

• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, athletic facilities, and event areas as needed. 

• Other duties as assigned by Facility Manager or Athletic Facilities Staff.

• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends. 

• Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all team members  and customers. 

• Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities including, pushing, pulling, lifting, kneeling, reaching, etc.

• Must be a self-starter.

• Must be able to work in inclement weather.
