The UMS Patron Services Office is seeking to fill multiple work-study student staff positions for the upcoming school year, to begin no sooner than August or September. Once trained, student staff have the opportunity to stay year-to-year and work summers until graduation.
JOB TITLE: Ticket Office Student
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Work with the ticket office and front-of-house team to ensure the best possible patron experience leading up to and at over 150 live performing arts events each year, presented by University Musical Society (UMS), the School of Music, Theater and Dance, and the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.
REQUIRED HOURS: Regular business hours are Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) and Saturday mornings (10am-1pm), in addition to show shifts on varied nights and weekends. Student staff should expect to work a varied schedule, primarily comprised of at least 10 hours per week during regular business hours, with additional time as needed during performance shifts. Applicants should be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
We hold diversity, equity and inclusion as key organizational values. We believe that the future artistic and organizational health of both UMS and the larger performing arts presentation field depends upon our ability to more accurately reflect the multi-faceted diversity of our communities locally, nationally, and internationally.
