Job Description
CEW+ is seeking a graduate student to serve as an Advocacy Program Assistant to support the following CEW+ advocacy initiatives; the CEW+ Annual Advocacy Symposium, the Carol Hollenshead Inspire Awards Program, and  Twink Frey Visiting Social Activist Program. 
 
The Advocacy Program Assistant will be under the direct supervision of the Advocacy Program Manager. All candidates will be required to exercise independent judgment; employ superior reasoning skills and manage concurrent multiple projects.
 
This administrative and program support position is through June 30, 2022

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills: 
? A demonstrated interest in advocacy, diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice reform in higher education
? As demonstrated through your application materials, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
? Experience setting priorities and working simultaneously on numerous tasks in order to meet project deadlines. 
? Highly proficient computer skills including knowledge of Google Drive, MicroSoft Office Suite and Zoom
? Experience developing content for social media platforms. 
 
Responsibilities:
? Assist in the coordination of the Advocacy Symposium, the Carol Hollenshead Inspire Awards Program, and  Twink Frey Visiting Social Activist project meetings including material preparation and recording meeting minutes
? Draft content for event descriptions, flyers, online registration forms, reports and promotional materials as directed for Advocacy Symposium, the Carol Hollenshead Inspire Awards Program, and  Twink Frey Visiting Social Activist.
? Review and edit content for the Advocacy Symposium main webpage 
? Provide administrative support for the selection processes of the Carol Hollenshead Inspire Awards and the Twink Frey Visiting Social Activist (TFVSA  including scheduling selection committee meetings and sending out meeting reminders).
? Provide logistical support for the CEW+ Advocacy Symposium event  as needed on event day.
? Draft project summary reports for the symposium event, the Carol Hollenshead Inspire Awards selection process, and the TFVSA selection process.
? Identify potential speakers for the  CEW+ Charlotte Mullin Welch and the Christobel K. Weerasinghe Lecture Series.
