Interested in helping your peers participate in democracy and navigate the voting process? Be a UMICH Votes Fellow for the Fall 2024 election cycle! As a UMICH Votes Fellow you’ll play a critical role in supporting voter participation on campus. You’ll be part of a cohort of 20 Fellows working together to welcome students at the campus voting hubs at UMMA and in the Duderstadt Gallery. You’ll provide non-partisan resources and guidance for voters whether they plan to vote in Ann Arbor (on site with our City Clerk) or in their home districts. U-M students from all disciplines are welcome and encouraged to apply to be a UMICH Votes Fellow (you do not need to be eligible to vote in the US). UMICH Votes Fellows positions are eligible for work-study. Logistics: — Attend 5-6 training and cohort meetings. These will likely be a mix of whole group meetings across the Fall semester, early September, before opening, midway check-in, and after the election — Work approximate 10 hours per week in the on-campus Voting Hubs as a non-partisan voting process resource for visitors — Anyone will need to complete the university's standard student employment process. |
