Come work with the U-M Urban Energy Justice Lab! This project examines how cities transition toward low-carbon energy systems by studying policies, business models, community experiences, and equity outcomes in Detroit, Chicago, and Columbus. A student research assistant will support mixed-methods data collection and analysis across four core activities: mapping urban energy-transition policies; assessing economic and business-model impacts of decarbonization projects; conducting community-focused research through surveys, interviews, and photovoice; and assisting with a multi-state convening of stakeholders to co-produce knowledge on equitable energy transitions. Submit cover letter and resume. |
