This is a work-study-only position throughout the fall and winter terms. First and second-year undergraduate work-study candidates are preferred for this position. The candidate should have some availability during our hours of operation throughout the semester. The SLC Main location (1720 Chem) is open Monday-Thursday 9 AM-7 PM, Friday 9 AM-4 PM, and Closed Saturday & Sunday in the spring term. The SLC Satellite location (2165 USB) is open Monday-Thursday 1-7 PM, and Closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday in the spring term. The SLC Main is open Monday-Friday 11 AM-4 PM and closed Saturday & Sunday in the summer term. The SLC Satellite is closed for the spring & summer terms. The candidate must have basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Canvas, as well as basic computer literacy. *The candidate could also know Mprint or possess a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate would possess the following: - Must be approachable, reliable, flexible, courteous, and adaptable to learn new skills
- Be proactive, customer-oriented, and desire to assist the public
- Show an enthusiasm to welcome & assist visitors from all backgrounds, strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Needs to be interested in working with & learning from a diverse population
- Is interested in learning about working across differences as a skillset
